Cinema Libre Studio will be hosting its first #filmchat on Twitter on Tuesday, March 22 at 4pm PT. This will be a one-hour chat via Twitter where we will make our team members available to answer questions about the indie film distribution process in as direct a manner as we can achieve in 130 characters.
Our goal is to share some tips with the filmmaking community so they can best prepare their films during the production and post production process to avoid expensive mistakes and help maximize opportunities for recoupment.
Disclaimer: This is the first time we’ve hosted and/or participated in this kind of event. We state apologies in advance for any hiccups that may occur during the event. We assume you know how to use Twitter and will not be offering any advice on how to use it.
How to participate/how we envision it working:
1) Make a search on your Twitter service provider (i.e. Twitter, TweetDeck, Hootsuite, etc.) for #filmchat
2) Starting at 4pm PT, start posing questions to @cinemalibre #filmchat (Please try and be concise and specific and specific. Example: @cinemalibre #filmchat, I’m about to output my film and wrap editing. Any last minute tips to maximize digital sales options?
3) We will answer questions as follows: @twittername #film chat A: Make sure frame rates from all sources match. Improper output limits a film’s options in digital world
