Cinema Libre Studio and Davis' production company, Chicago Pacific Entertainment, have partnered with the GRAMMY Foundation, earmarking a portion of proceeds from the STONY ISLAND DVD sales to be contributed towards the Foundation's GRAMMY in the Schools® music education program.

Funding for GRAMMY® In The Schools goes towards creating opportunities for high school students to work with music professionals to get real-world experience and advice about how to have a career in music. And that includes any kind of music career – audio engineer, concert promoter, electronic music producer, manager, musician, music journalist, singer, songwriter – any music career.

More details here.

The STONY ISLAND GRAMMY® partnership will include two opportunities to generate funds:

1) For anyone who purchases the DVD from the link offered on the Grammy's website, newsletter or social networks and uses the special code at checkout, as of DATE, $5 from each unit will be contributed by Cinema Libre Studio/Chicago Pacific Entertainment to the program.

2) In Fall 2012, for one entire month, $1 for every DVD sold by Cinema Libre Studio to wholesale and retail accounts as, will be contributed to the program. Check back for the date!

ABOUT THE GRAMMY Foundation: The GRAMMY Foundation was established in 1989 to cultivate the understanding, appreciation and advancement of the contribution of recorded music to American culture — from the artistic and technical legends of the past to the still unimagined musical breakthroughs of future generations of music professionals. The Foundation accomplishes this mission through programs and activities that engage the music industry and cultural community as well as the general public. The Foundation works in partnership year-round with its founder, The Recording Academy®, to bring national attention to important issues such as the value and impact of music and arts education and the urgency of preserving our rich cultural heritage.
