Rated SR Socially Relevant Film Fest NYC – March 2014- Competition Slate includes Forward 13: Waking Up The American Dream

Rated SR Socially Relevant Film Festival New York (http://www.ratedsrfilms.org/), a new non-profit film festival focused uniquely on social issue films will run March 14-20, 2014 at New York’s Quad Cinema. The festival will showcase films with human interest stories and socially relevant themes as a response to the proliferation of violence and violent forms of storytelling. Rated SR aims to promote positive social change through the powerful medium of cinema. Democracy Now’s Amy Goodman will make a keynote prize and award the SR Rated Social Justice Award. Patrick Lovell’s FORWARD 13: WAKING UP THE AMERICAN DREAM has been selected for the documentary competition.
