GENIUS ON HOLD is the story of inventor Walter L. Shaw, who had an astonishing list of 39 patents to his credit, including those for the hands-free speaker phone, call forwarding, conference calling, and even the White House “Red Phone” alert system. His ground-breaking inventions would have garnered him lasting fame and fortune had it not been for one thing: the iron-fisted grip of Bell Telephone (aka AT&T). A shocking tale of corporate skullduggery, mafia allegiances and jewelry heists, GENIUS ON HOLD is the story of one family’s rise and fall at the hands of corporate America. The documentary, which is narrated by Frank Langella and features original songs by The Kin, will premiere Friday, April 13th at 5:30pm as the Opening Night Film at the Soho International Film Festival with SPECIAL GUESTS on the red carpet!
